Bob Saget died after hitting his head, family says
Bob Saget, the comedian and stand-up actor best known for playing Danny Tanner on “Full House,” died of head trauma after accidentally hitting something, his family said in a statement Wednesday.
Mr. Saget, 65, was found unconscious on Jan. 9 in a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando in Grande Lake and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. .
“Now that we have the final findings of the authorities’ investigation, we felt it was only fair for fans to hear those findings directly from us,” the family said. “They concluded he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, didn’t think about it, and fell asleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”
The sheriff’s office said after finding Mr. Saget there was no sign of foul play.
The sheriff’s office forwarded the comments to the medical examiner’s office, which did not immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday evening.
Mr. Saget, who was on tour at the time, performed Jan. 8 at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., southeast of Jacksonville. In one tweet early On January 9, he thanked the “grateful public”.

In an Instagram post marking a month since Mr Saget’s death, Kelly Rizzo, his widow, said he was “really living life to the fullest”.
“He’s had so much trouble over the years that he would always tell me ‘look, life is hard, we have to enjoy it as much as possible,'” Ms Rizzo wrote.
